APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP OF GORING SOCIAL CLUB
The Club welcomes applications from new members at all times.
The application process is as follows:-
New applicants must obtain and complete an Application Form and pay a Joining Fee of £8.00. To receive an Application Form you must pay a deposit of £5.00 which is part of your Joining Fee. Applicants may obtain an application form from the Steward on the payment of the £5.00 deposit. Applicants must complete parts 1 and 2 of the form and must be sponsored by two fully paid up members of the Club. The form must be signed by the applicant and two sponsors and submitted in the Club space provided for new application forms at least seven days before the next meeting of the Management Committee, which usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month.
If your application is successful and approved by the Management Committee you will be contacted by the Membership Secretary. On acceptance, you will pay the outstanding £3.00 of your joining fee which includes a 5p share, and the annual membership subscription which is currently £18.00 for full membership, £10.00 for those who are 65 years and over, and £5.00 for Junior members. If your application for membership is rejected then your deposit will be refunded in full.
The submission of your application form does not allow you to use the Club. You will be notified in writing of the result of your application, and if successful, you should present the notification along with the outstanding Joining Fee (3.00) and the appropriate membership subscription fee to the Steward. A receipt for payment, a copy of the Club Rule Book together with your membership card will then be issued to you.
Please note that subscriptions are payable from the date you are elected to membership by the Management Committee, and they must be paid within 28 days or the offer of membership will lapse. Membership subscriptions are renewable annually on the 1st January and must be paid by 1st February or your membership will be ‘in arrears’ and you will no longer be permitted to use the Club (Rule 12.1).

- £8.00 for Joining Fee
- £18.00 for full membership
- £10.00 for those who are 65 years and over
- £5.00 for Junior members
