St Georges Day This Saturday
Saturday Night, 23rd April, will be a big night at the club as we celebrate St Georges Day.
We will be having a barbecue from 7.30 and have George and the Dragon ale from Wadworths at £2 a pint.
We also have Roger Selman on piano playing all your old favourite songs for a singalong. We will also be playing the Saturday games – Play Your Cards Right and Black Ball Bonanza between 9.30 and 10.00 with cash jackpots. So it should be great night – come down and enjoy it !
Also don’t forget about the quiz night on Sunday at 7.30.
November 2009 Ales
November Ales
We enter a new period of offering guest ales from the middle of November. Our new permanent ales of Old Father Thames (3.4) and Butcombe bitter (4.0) will have been introduced and their popularity will, no doubt, mean that more good ale will be consumed in the Club. The effects on the ‘guest’ pump will be interesting to note but a change in the regular ales gives us a chance to vary the guest ales we offer you. From middle November, the guest pump will offer ales between 3.5ABV and 5.0ABV thereby giving the membership a chance to drink some stronger ales than has been the case in the recent past. Could be enjoyable and challenging as we welcome in the Winter weather!
