Club refurbishment Notice
Dear Members
It is the committee’s intention, to eventually refurbish all of the club and bring the décor and furniture up to date, as funds become available.
The first Phase of this refurbishment will start on Monday 28th September 2009. This will consist of our entrance lobby, the area where the Bingo is played and the dance floor. The work will take about four weeks to complete.
Unfortunately, this area will be closed to all members and guests during the refurbishment, but the rest of the club will remain open throughout the work period. Your patience and understanding will be appreciated at this time and the committee apologises for any inconvenience that will be caused during this period.
Details of the work can be inspected in the foyer. Essentially, a new dance floor will be laid down and a new room partitioning screen will be installed. A new entrance door into this area will be created and the existing door will be blocked up to allow more space for the darts to be played. The whole area will be re-carpeted, and new furniture will be introduced. A new flat screen TV will be erected on the wall. The entrance foyer will be improved and the whole area re-decorated.
This marks phase one of the committee’s refurbishment plans for the club and the work should improve the north part of the club quite considerably. This work inevitably costs money – your money! Your continuing support as club members will, hopefully, allow the committee to consider future improvements when the it decides the funds are available. So get along and support your club to enable it to invest for the future!
