July 2009 Ales

Thwaites Original (3.6)
An old favourite at GSC, this is a clean, dry tasting bitter of glowing amber appearance and a malty, nutty flavour. The beer yields a distinctive hoppy aroma and a lingering bitter finish. Great drinkability! Two firkins available delivered on the 10th July.
Keltek Even Keel (3.4)
This beer brewed by Keltek brewery in Redruth, Cornwall, is new to GSC. A benchmark traditional brew, Even Keel is a refreshing medium coloured amber ale with the emphasis on a fruity yet malty first impression. There follows a hint of tangerine or marmalade with gentle bitterness. It is unusually long on the palate for a low gravity beer. We have ordered one firkin of this ale and it be delivered on Friday July 17th. Enjoy.
Highgate Davenport’s Summer Storm (3.7)
A lightly coloured ideal session bitter. This is a light and easy drinking ale with a delightful floral aroma with hints of citrus. The palate has malt and fruit notes alongside the dominating hop character. One firkin available, delivered on Friday 17th July.
Elgoods Summer Sunset (3.8)

A seasonal ale from the popular Elgoods brewery in Wisbech. This ale is tawny in colour with a crisp and malty bitter sweet finish. One firkin arriving on Friday July 24th.
Adnams Best bitter (3.7)

Another chance to try this beautiful copper-coloured beer, late and dry hopped with Fuggles hops for a distinctive and lingering hoppiness. One of your favourite brews, enjoy at the end of the month and early August.
According to sales we may order some additional ales towards the end of the month.
