Goring B Clinch Promotion in Snooker League
Goring B snooker team have clinched promotion to Division 2 of the Reading and District Snooker League by finishing in a comfortable 2nd place in the league. The players in the B team include Jonny Russell (Captain), Mark Boden, Mel Howard (Player of the Season), Duncan Mills and Richard West (Most Improved Cueman of the Season). Promotion was fully deserved with all players contributing significantly throughout the season. The team are eagerly anticipating collecting their trophies at the Presentation night on 3rd July from snooker legend, ‘Whirlwind’ Jimmy White.

Goring Bowls Club 75th Anniversary Gala Day
To celebrate their 75th Anniversary the bowls club is planning to hold a “Gala Day” which will consist of a light-hearted open competition between various Goring Clubs and institutions.
A team or teams of 3 or 4 social club members are invited to join the fun. The only requirement on you will be to wear a pair of flat shoes. No previous experience of the game is necessary.
The competition will take place from 10am to 5pm. Lunch and tea will be provided.
