West Berks Mr Chubbs (3.7)

Mr Chubb
A silver medal winner at the 2002 SIBA South East Regional Competition.
A traditional style beer with all English hops and a good bitterness balanced by Maris Otter malts from Wiltshire and Suffolk. This beer is named in memory of the brewer’s father, who was the lock-keeper at Whitchurch-on-Thames, and sometimes nick-named Mr Chubb.

A low-gravity yet full-flavoured beer in the classic pale ale style.


Yeovil Ales Star Gazer (4.0) on sale at £2.20 a pint.

Star Gazer

This dark copper speciality bitter with a late hopping fruity bouquet won the gold medal at the CAMRA Minehead Festival and was declared the Champion beer of Somerset! So this should be good stuff!


Skinners Betty Stoggs Bitter (4.0).

An old favourite in the Club. This ale was last offered by us in May and since then has gone on the win the gold award in the Best Bitter category at the Great British Beer Festival in London last month. At £2.00 a pint you won’t find a better value and drinking pint for this money!


Nethergate Brewery Mad Bob (3.8).

Mad Bob

A new beer to the Club from a well respected brewery, this chestnut-coloured ale has a strong hoppy aroma and a flavour of citrus fruits with a tangy dry finish. At £2.00 a pint this ale should prove very drinkable!


We only have one firkin of each of these ales so they will go quickly and you might miss out if you don’t keep your eye on the middle pump! Get down to the Club and enjoy your drinking.
